I was reading a Success Story on dietdoctor.com. It was from a man who had lost over 200 lbs. He said he had “flaps” of skin after losing his weight, which I would expect. I am so afraid of that after I get to goal weight because of my age and the fact that I have been obese and thin many times over the course of my life. My skin is very stretched out.
He went on to say that through autophagy (by fasting), his “flaps” disappeared. ??? Is this possible when you lose 200 lbs.? His “after” picture was a photo of his six pack - impressive - and tight.
Wouldn’t that be great if it were true!
I’ve heard Jason Fung say many times that none of his patients ever have excess skin after losing weight with his fasting protocols, because of the autophagy.
Wow; I hadn’t heard that - very encouraging!
