HIGH carb LOW fat ...DGA Conferences etc?

#1

So in this Ketogenic Forum and related space there are plenty of resources, conference presentations, chats, etc where the science and success of Low Carb High Fat are presented.
That’s all great stuff!

Do the folks who oppose this and support the DGA etc have their own analog where, especially personal success stories are told? I mean, who follows high carb and shows before and after pics, testimonials, etc? High carb conferences? Conference sessions presenting the high carb science?

I run into high carb low fat dogma supporting the DGA, but is there a community that can show the results and talk about it? Or is it mainly dogma and food/med industry noise? Something beyond diet facebook/reddit groups etc which seem to center around commiseration and frustration?

Such organisations have names like American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, National Lipid Association, National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Harvard School of Public Health, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, American College of Lifestyle Medicine, World Health Organisation, and the like.

Classic. :joy:

But do any of these organizations have events where people tell success stories and show before and after pictures?

Yes, indeed. They gather regularly for shopping at the mall. Here’s an example of a before and after pic…

What is ‘DGA’?

At a guess, “Dietary Guidelines for Americans.”
