High Blood Pressure on Keto Diet, no meds, yet, but concerned

(Denise) #21

15 min. of bodyweight exercise and bands I have BP of 134/73 which I relaxed for 5 minutes before taking it. Just new input. Here’s the routine, so far:

3 sets each with 10 reps each of:

Pushoffs
squats
mid weight band I used for bicep curls

Feedback welcome, on BP numbers, it’s lower and I thought it would be higher after exercise. I was puffing and felt worn out, although I could have done more after another minute or so break.

Mine is always lower after, it’s normal I believe.

thanks Allie :+1: It looks like, from the history on my monitor, that I’ve gone between on time 162/82, to most down to 118/73, with most numbers below 144/62, only the one time it got up over that for the top number.

I’ll do a bit more re-search on it today

My hubby monitors his BP and after the gym is the best numbers every day. Yeah, seems counter intuitive, right?

I’m thinking maybe because blood is pumping faster not just laying around in my veins, LOL!! I mean I feel heavier when I am sitting around, giving into gravity

(Allie) #26

That would actually make sense.

(Denise) #27

My pushoffs and squats were way easier this a.m. but still need to do my band-work:+1: Do any of you think an “accountability” thread would do good on the forum? I mean not just exercise but our Keto, Hows it Going kind of thread? I don’t have to tell you all to be honest, that’s what I love most about the forum, even if it isn’t what I want to hear, it’s almost always exactly what I need to hear  Denise:laughing::+1:

(Allie) #28

There is an Accountability area under the Progress category, are you able to access that yet? I’ve been here so long that I can’t remember the different levels needed to access areas.

(Denise) #29

Oh that is perfect! I don’t know if I can access it but I’ll check it out today, thank you so much Allie!!

I checked and YES I can see it  I never saw that before so maybe it just came up for me recently :grinning:
