Hi, just checking in :)

I’m on day 3, feeling a bit “fluey”. Bad headache last night, but my friend reminded me SALT! So I had a salt drink and it helped a bit. I Always get the baddies when I remove sugar and carbs. Ugg…I don’t think I’m eating enough or enough fat yet. I’m still nauseous from the amount of fat I’m eating and the withdrawal symptoms, but I hope it will pass. I really miss fruit. That will be my biggest issue with this. I think I will have a few berries every night to help this. My Keto stick was almost at large last night! LOL…I feel like I’ve lost a lot of brain cells as I type this. I guess this flu is effecting my intelligence levels too. Anyhoo, thanks for listening! Any and all advise is always welcome! :kissing_heart:

@kutekitten Yes, the first week is when the keto-flu hits and that is good and bad news. Bad news is that there are still a few more days although you seem to be taking more salt to help with that. I recommend using Himalayan Pink salt or Real Salt as they contain many other needed electrolytes like potassium that will help you along.

The good news is that you are truly progressing in your journey and ridding yourself of your addiction to sugar! All carbs turn into sugar so I didn’t say ‘sugar and carbs’ just ‘sugar.’

Keep posting and I will be listening.

Welcome. The cravings will go away, I would try to go totally off sugar as much as possible to start and adding back fruit later if needed. You wouldn’t try to quit smoking but then have a plan for a puff or 2 at night just because it’s hard.

Good Luck!
