So I have been fasting for the last 40 hours and when I start back eating I am going to try to be very close 0 zero carbs eating only fatty meats, eggs and cheese and other fatty dairy. No vegetables I think even though I am trying to be Keto I am eating low carb but going over the 20-25 grams of carbohydrate. So I think eating Carnivore I can fix that. Any thoughts?
Hey guys I am going to try the carnivore diet!
Your best source of information on this is going to be using the forum search and typing in Carnivore. There have been a few people discussing this and doing it. As far as going over carbs, are you doing it because you’re eating something high carb that you like? Are you counting net or total carbs? Eating carnivore doesn’t mean your carb problem is solved unless you’re dedicated to sticking to it.
Dr Ken Berry recently did a YouTube about the Carnivore diet. He’s been doing it and apparently really likes it. He’s been on the 2KetoDudes before - he’s great to listen to. https://youtu.be/MYyA2PDyOaI
I just want to do it for a while
I am eating low carb foods but even they add up
So if I no carbs for a while that would fine
Just want to really keep insulin as low as I can when eating
I do Fast as well
This is fun and the more I understand how the types of food you eat can fix you the the better
How is your Carnivore diet going? I’m interested in doing it too because I’m a total meat lover, but I imagine it would get boring after a while
Well…
I have been fasting for almost 3 days but I did eat last night
I had pork skins and cream cheese I
Did have about 7 medium sized olives
And two chicken thighs and a wing wrapped in bacon
So I am going to check this evening to see if I am in ketosis
I did the same thing a little over two weeks ago & so far, I love it! My diet is meat, eggs & butter. On average it’s roughly a 75%/25% f/p split. My BG & ketones are great, I feel awesome & I’ve lost belly fat that I haven’t been able to drop in years. Not sure if it will be permanent, but either way I’m glad I tried it.
I thought it would be boring also, but so far it’s not. Granted two weeks & change is all I’ve experienced so far but I enjoy meat as much now, if not more than when I started. Plus, I had no idea how much bloating I lived with on a daily basis & constipation issues have completely resolved.
