Help!

I have been keto for 1 year and my weight hasn’t budged since the first couple of months when I lost 30lbs. My blood sugar is much improved (I’m T2) but I need to drop at least 30 more. HELP PLEASE!!! TIA!:disappointed_relieved:

Hi - are you still tracking your macros? Or measuring Ketones?

There’s very little information in your post.

What is your height and current weight? Do you know your percent body fat? How did you decide what your final weight “needs” to be? What are you actually eating on a daily basis? Do you measure ketone production?

Hey Larry. I’m 5’1" and weigh 153. I don’t measure ketones but monitor my blood sugars. I follow my macros closely and limit my carbs to 20 or less from veggies and moderate protein. I calculated my ideal weight from a chart but I don’t recall what it is. It suits I should be 120lbs. Also food height to weight calculation that said I’m morbidly obese. I have a lot of belly that didn’t go away with my initial 30lb loss.I’m on metformin 500mg twice a day.

I use ketosticks occasionally. Is that what you mean? I do follow my macros.

I had to track total food intake , decrease my fat macros from 72% to more like 65%

I also had to do intermittent fasting 17:7. I also needed to eat my carbs upfront early in the morning, from 6 AM and stop eating at about 1 PM with most of my veggie carbs as early as possible

I maintaining a 72 pound weight loss for five years now. I’m 5 foot one and I’m almost 51 years old. I’ve been in then Menopause for almost 4 years

To make a long story short I needed to eat veggie carbs as early in the morning as possible. I needed to fast for 16, 17 or 18 hours. And I need to eat a little less food.

I was previously overweight, obese ,and morbidly obese’s from ages 6 to 46.

Some people find they start losing again when they cut out dairy, I’m one of them! Love cream & cheese & can maintain weight when having them in reasonable portions but lose weight when cut them out. I’m T2 also and have better blood sugar without them. If you eat dairy you may want to try it for a while & see what happens. I know of one person who pinpointed dairy as his key to breaking a long stall, only used ghee which is butter fat with the milk solids removed.

Thanks Adam! I’ll give it a try.
