Update! I just saw something pop up about this thread I started back in 2017. Fast forward to now (April 2019). My wife has adopted a Lazy Keto style that fits her WOE. I don’t know if she’ll be successful but she is way more supportive than ever. She understands my needs when shopping, doesn’t feel offended when I don’t eat stuff at restaurants, or party’s. She gets it. I am still 80+ plus pounds down, don’t really weigh myself (use my skinny clothes to judge). I have been KETO now for 565 days. Importantly I have kept the weight off, and have felt great!

Thanks for the update. It’s amazing how a little perspective can change someone’s mind. I like that she got into it and understands where you were coming from.

I personally don’t say much about it except no thanks when I’m offered carbs. Or I say I’m off the sugar, but then I have to explain how there’s sugar in that there bread you’re offering so no thank you, I don’t want any.

Great job on your success!

They would smell good. TBH, I first read this as candies and started drooling

I agree, @PaulL, can you make candies instead of candles? Thank you.

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #66

How about candies and candles? Made from deep-fried bacon-wrapped bacon, of course! :yum:

Tell her: welcome to the cult!

Yes!!!

Great news.

Back when I was a skinny 20-something and could eat anything I wanted I never understood how fat people could eat as many calories as it would take to put that much weight on.

Until I became that fat person eating less than when I was skinny!!!

Those who are blessed with a well-functioning metabolism have no idea what us fat folks go through!!!

You can worry about lard, I am concentrating on coconut products.

Ofcourse you are normal! (Too all of us you are, anyway) because we are all the same! hehe.

I know how you feel though, we are so happy we discovered Keto and want the world to know… I totally get it!

“I like carbs too. I just like my fingers and toes more.”
