Help, what am I doing wrong?

Hello my fellow ketonians

I have started my keto journey roughly 3 weeks ago. I am a 31 year old mother with Hashimotos and thought the ketogenic diet would be a good way to change my lifestyle and dietary habits.

The first 2 weeks I did drop a couple of kgs (I understand it is mostly water loss) but The past week has stalled completely, even gained a little.

I am doing something wrong? My macros are 75% fat, 20 protein and 5 carbs. I am doing IF 16-8 and eat mostly eggs, mayonnaise, hamburgers, pork, rib-eye steak, spinach, fat bombs, Greek salad.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Best regards
Helena

Sounds spot on. Are you very lean already??

I’m slightly overweight, only need to lose 10 kg. But I don’t work out or do any other activities at this moment, never really enjoyed lifting weights and such. The good thing is I have lost my sugar cravings and am starting to feel a lot better, just doesn’t show on the scale…

More patience needed, it’s working.

Of course, I know it takes time and I’m doing this not only to lose weight but to be healthier and feel better. I just didn’t expect to gain weight, thought maybe someone had experience with Hashimotos / hypothyroidism and doing keto

Sounds like you’re set for success! Wonderful foods and macros. The weight will follow.

Good luck!

Patience, also switching up what you’re doing and changing the amounts of energy you’re giving your body daily. Your body can get used to IF if you give it the same energy every day.

PS. The scale is not your friend lol. Mine goes down two steps up one every freaking three days and occasionally I’ll wake up 5 lbs heavier. Cool thanks. But my waist is shrinking and I’m feeling so good. I think keeping calm and ketoing on is truly the best advice

Thank you all for your comments and advice!

I agree with the poster treat the scale lightly. Take a waist measurement and have that as your main indicator. Weight can fluctuate a lot. Keep going!
