Okay… so i landed in the hospital ER and ended up with “antibiotic induced Gastritis/Duodenitis”

I had been off Keto and was just goimg back on at the same time all of this started. I started Day 1 of Keto and quit by the afternoon because i was so nausiated and in so much pain which i now know is the gastritis yuck!

So… ive had this once or twice before and my natural cure for it has been:

Coconut milk unsweet- anti-micorbial, soothing
Manuka honey- anti-viral anti-microbial
Nutmeg-anti- parasitic and ant-microbial
Banana- anti-spasmodic, absorbs excess acid

Usually i would blend this into a drink and drink it for 1-3 weeks. And would include

-4000mg vitamin C
-120billion probiotics multi strain
-5000 iui Vit D

So my question is this. Its Day 1 on Keto… I dont want this to de-rail me. I can replace the honey for a little bit of allulose but what would i replace the banana with?? Would squash work? would it be keto friendly enough if i made a squash soup pureed with all the spices and coconut milk? Or pumpkin???

Ive been currently just drinking tea with MCT powder(coconut is very good for gut healing) and plan on making bone broth and adding extra collagen peptides to heal any leaky gut stuff.

Why not just do what you need to do to get better first, then get back to keto? Allulose won’t replace the honey. It’ll be sweet yes, but manuka honey has many benefits unrelated to its sweetness.

Gastritis is nasty, don’t risk your health.

Peppermint should be able to do the same thing. It’s also antispasmodic. I use peppermint tea (for IBS) but peppermint oil is also good.

I think this is wise. You didn’t fail at starting keto again. It was just bad timing.

Plus, keep in mind that many of the smoothie recipes in the LCHF/keto Drs. Eades Protein Power and Losing the MIddle Aged Middle allow for a half banana - bananas are not criminal, and in your case, can be soothing for the innards. Fennel seeds are also very soothing/cooling and healing for gastritis going back to ancient eastern medicine - you can chew them raw, or grind them in a spice grinder and add to your healing smoothie.
