No I don’t supplement, not with anything. I have as little faith in the daily nutrient requirements as I do in the food pyramid. Further, none of those requirements were determined on people eating ketogenically and there is every reason to expect they would be different. So no, I have little faith in the long term health benefits of supplementation, in fact, I’m not even convinced it’s not harmful.
We evolved to eat a certain way. What I try to do is eat as closely to what I think is that way as I can manage, both feasibly and in terms of my will. To the extent that I succeed is the extent to which I shouldn’t need supplementation.
What I can say is that I’ve been eating mostly OMAD for well over a year. My blood work is all fine according to my doctor and I feel fitter and happier than I have in a decade.
