Im 6ft 90kg. Fit and work a reasonably active job. Im at 26%body fat acording to my Dexa Scan. I want to get down to 85kg and 12% body fat. My calories per day is 2100.
Heres the deal. Eating a perfect ket 80 fat diet. My blood ketones only reach 0.4 max.
However If i eat extra calories including alot more carbs. Ie. Cale and brussel sprouts. Fat bombs etc…
I jump from 0.2/0.3 to 0.5
Do i need to up my calories?
Ive tried exogenous ketones
Less than 20g macro carbs
Lots and lots of fat
60g macro protein
Days with lots of MCT
18/19hr fasting
All with no rise in blood ketones.
Now last night i ate shitloads of brussel sprouts and kale. Bit of meat with olive oil and chillies. 2 fat bombs and 3 strawberries.
And bang i wake up with 0.5 which ive only been able to acheive once before.
To try figure shit out ive been testing ketones 3/4 times a day.
I don’t feel any differant at 0.5 but i notice my wee smells more and i wee more often.
What should i do?
How can i get to the elusive 1.5+
Side notes ive been doing this diet for 2l3 weeks. Have had the keto flue twice. Once when i started and once after a night of beers. I seem to adjust fast 12hrs of headaches then bang stinky wee and head clarity with many trips to the bathroom.
Can’t figure this out. Thaughts?

Update: So i woke at 0.5. Im fasting atm and its at 0.3 now 4hrs later WTF
