A little back story of me is after I had my first daughter I realized I was overweight. I’m 5’10 and was around 200lbs. I began to workout and try to eat healthier. I lost 50lbs and felt great but then found out I was pregnant. I ended up having a miscarriage and I think for about a month I ate to little and worked out too much…as I felt like I was punishing my self for losing the baby. I decided to stop pushing myself so hard and try again which today I have a beautiful 8 month of daughter. But I will say I obsessed about how much weight I had gained back and by two months post partum I was back to 190lbs. I began to workout again slowly and decided to start keto. It’s been a little over a month and am now 150lbs. So feeling good almost at my goal weight of 140lbs. But everytime I mess up and eat a few carbs I bloat soooo much where i look pregnant all over again. I love how i feel when I’m in ketosis but i have to be reasonable i have 2 small kids and a husband who sometimes works to much and picks up fast food on way home. I just dont think I will be able to do keto forever if after one carb loaded meal all my work goes out the window and I look huge again. Also I have troubles getting back in ketosis sometimes which discourage me cause I can do a 24 fast and eat very low carb for 3 days straight and it still says I’m not in ketosis. Are there things that you follow keto dieters do to help with the bloating when you have a cheat meal or to get in to ketosis faster.

I’ve read that the bloating is because your body is not used to digesting carbs and it could last a few days or a week as your body switches gears… and that it’s best to start with unprocessed carbs first, like fruit, beans, whole grains and non starchy vegetables.
I have no idea how this will work for me, but I don’t plan on going back to sugary foods. I do hope that moderate good carbs and moderate good fats will keep things stable.

You should take a SIBO test to rule that out.
Have a little bloating due to carbs is probably not that unusual if they are usually limited but
could be SIBO.
