Help! Bloated/gaining weight

Hi there! I need a favour to ask … I’m from India and ketostrix is not only unavailable, it’s super expensive.
A. Is there any way to know if I’m in ketosis without the strips?
B. I’ve been on keto for six and a half months and have lost around 22 KGS. I was 67 KGS when I started keto, and I went down to 42 kg this December. But during the holidays I deviated from keto and have been having huge troubles managing my hunger.
I usually had three meals in the beginning but from April onwards I started OMAD. It worked miraculously. I didn’t feel hungry. I didn’t feel bloated. I didn’t over eat.
Since the holidays, I’ve been struggling with food. I wake up and feel hungry, I feel bloated yet I think I’m hungry. Needless to say, I’ve gained 4-5 KGS. I keep oscillating between 47-48 KGS. I weight myself every morning and am so disappointed. Nothing seems to be working
I’m currently on an egg fast, but I’m bloated. Like my belly has become a miniature pot belly. Unbelievable! And it wouldn’t go away! No matter what!
So here’s a typical day of eating ever since I’ve broken the golden rules of keto and had some carbs during the holidays:
I wake up around 8 in the morning, have lemon water occasionally with some holy basil in it. Followed by some green tea with lemon, some Darjeeling tea, and water . I feel terribly hungry around 11, when I usually eat crap. Like peanuts. Or a cube of cheese. Then I keep feeling hungry. Since I’m obsessed with food and love cooking, food is all I can think about. I finally have lunch somewhere around 1-2 PM comprising of some leafy greens, some meat, usually two large eggs, a scoop of whey protein and erythritol, and some milk tea or coffee with heavy cream. I also have a fat bomb or butter with it. Ideally, I should not be hungry afterwards
But around 5.30-6 in the evening, I start craving food nowadays, which I know is not a real hunger. But I seem to be failing to avoid the trap these past few weeks.
Help! I’ve never had eating disorder until now.

Change it up. Feast for a few days, fast for a few days (four days is ideal).

If you do one thing too long your body will get used to it.

You may also have an allergy to something. If the symptoms go away when fasting, that’s a sign.

Erythritol causes some people trouble.

Some people have a reaction to eggs. Some people get an insulin spike with whey protein. I hope you can figure it out & feel better.

48 kgs is just not all that heavy, your body isn’t making enough Leptin to make you happy. You need fat to make Leptin. Pot belly / visceral fat doesn’t drop off. I would KCKO and try an extended fast once a month or so. Might take another 6 months. Tough problem.

Thank you so much! I tried returning to my OMAD pattern but it isn’t helping with the bloating.

I think I’ll skip the whey protein for a few days and see.

Thanks… I’m also on my periods. So that’s a big trouble. I gain so much weight on periods.

Should I do bone broth on keto? My calculator notes that it’s high on carbs.

Also, I initially followed Dr Berg’s videos. He suggested that keto approved vegetables should not be calculated within the 20 gms carb portion. Does that work?
