Here is the bad boy. I suspect @Ernest due to its neatness! It is from the What did you eat today? thread but the number allocation is wrong and I cannot find it. There are demands for the recipe
HELP! 2KD IG followers are trying to identify a grilled ham and cheese. Is it yours?
Keto Not-Guilty Grilled Cheese
Quick version:
headbangers 90 second bread
Mayo, cheese, ham, bacon
Butter
Detailed version:
Bread: Adapted from Headbangers 90 Second Almond Bread + generous pinch of sea salt, a few shakes of Trader Joes Everything Bagel Seasoning or season to taste. Split bread to make two slices.
Filling: layer mayonaisse, munster or swiss cheese, ham, cheddar cheese, cooked bacon, ham, munster or swiss, mayonnaise
Grilling: melt a pat of butter in frying pan on low heat, add sandwich, weight sandwich down with heavy object. (I used a pot with canned goods), when cheese begins to melt, add another pat of butter, flip sandwich, repeat
*very filling, probably better shared…if you can let go of the other half…lol
Hey Daisy! Wow! Thanks for tracking me down! That is so cool! I may have to figure out what IG is…lol. Here is the recipe.
Chuckling, also tickled to be momentarily mistaken for @Ernest. 'cause his food shots are ALWAYS drool worthy!
I saw this on the thread and wanted to eat it! What vessel do you cook the bread in? You split it, so you’re asking one slice at a time? My mug bread is more the size for making sliders, not sandwiches.
Thanks Andi! Your post gave me an idea.
The full sandwich is VERY filling. Maybe, next time I will use the mug size and split it into 4 rounds, make 1 slider sandwich now and save the other 2 slices for the for next day.
I use a small microwave safe glass dish, a corelle or ceramic pan. I included pictures of the three pans I use.
The sandwich is made from 1 single serve bread . Using the wider vessel allows it to be more sandwich size. Even though it is the same amount as in a mug, it did take almost double the time to cook. I tried the bread recipe in the oven, it took 15 minutes at 350 degrees. I MUST remember to grease the pan for oven baking…lol.
Been searching everywhere for this… thanks for doing all the research and finding it for me <3
