Hello! New with question

Hi all I’m Day 3 going keto. Just a few questions. When cooking, I’ve been sautéing my veggies (onions, spinach and or peppers) in the grease I cook my meat in. I.e first I’ll make bacon, steak or burger then while it’s resting I throw my veggies in) of course I’m not used to this idea being a former WW, just wondering if y’all do this and it’s a good thing, or if you drain and sauté in butter or oil? Thanks. I’ll be back with 100000000 more questions

I use whatever fat makes sense for the flavor I am trying to get.

Sometimes I use the juices/fats from cooking meats, sometimes I drain some or all, sometimes I add other fats to the meat residue.

I generally saute vegetables in olive oil, butter, or a mix of the two just because I like the flavor. If you like your spinach sauteed in beef fat then go for it. Sounds great for the onions, certainly.

Do it whichever way works best for you.

I eat all my fat. Nothing gets drained.
