Ahhh! So.much.temptation.
Healthy Foods You Wish You Could Still Eat
Still eat all those I just cut out the processed sugars and carbs and eat what Mother Nature made for us to eat and itâs magical what that alone achieved, no ketones required!
Since they come in many fruit flavors
For Me, I consider that to be extremely healthy
And once you combine flavors, you can get more health benefits. Too many to name
I miss âŠJELLY BELLYâS!
Yum.
I would sit and eat the entire BIG jug ( their version ) from Sams Club. Ravage through like they were peanuts instead OR like the comparable size cheese puff Jug
And I miss sushi w rice like above mentioned
Sigh
Mashed up banana with peanut butter. or just a banana no peanut butter. Sweet potatoes I have maybe once every 3 months or so. I love them cubed then roasted in the oven with coconut oil and salt. Honey crisp apples with or without peanut butter.
I used to eat a half an apple with the core removed and then I would stuff it with peanut butter. That was a frequent breakfast or snack for me.
Had baby carrots with butter last week for the first time in 8 months. It was not unpleasant.
Wine!
Yeah, yeah. Just do in moderation. I know.
But you didnât have the day I just did.
So wine⊠I miss a big, beautiful bottle of red, red wine. The whole damn bottle!
Haha, I feel the same way about potatoesâŠI even DID try the potato diet and made it 7 days before I had to have some meat.
Keto is defiantly easier that is for sure!
I donât miss fruits but I occasionally have root vegetables and beans from my garden. They are real food and I just limit them to every once in a while.
I understand others who still have a lot of weight to lose or T2D to heal canât eat them, but neither apply to me right now.
Mostly, same here. I grew up on potatoes. Basically, it was, âWhat kind of potatoes do you want with your meal?â (Fried, boiled, baked, mashedâŠ)
I had to grow a few potatoes in the garden this year, too. But just a few. And I think weâve eaten just little bits of them maybe 2 or 3 times this year, mostly when we have company over. We grow some beans, too, a few lima beans, a few field peas, a few green peas, and a very large amount of greenbeans. We go pretty light on all but the greenbeans as I know theyâre pretty carb heavy, but we enjoy the little bits that we do eat.
There really is nothing like fresh stuff out of the garden. Plus, there is a certain amount of exercise that goes along with growing all of that stuffâŠ
Agreed. We only grow tomatoes and raspberries and apples, the tree was established long before we moved here. We have them while they are in season. We dehydrate the apples or make it into applesauce and apple butter. without added sugars now. We freeze excess raspberries. I also grow herbs and dry them for the winter season.
I have an old 9 ( years )sour dough stater in my freeze. I do miss making bread and eating it . I still make it for my family. I have been researching about making sour dough bread with coconut flour. Have you ever
tried it ? I have been making 3 minute Keto buns and nut bread with coconut and almond flour but it is just not the same.
I still eat kiwi. I think once I lose all the weight I just gained, Iâm going to let myself have more things like apples and such on occasion. Like @atomicspacebunny said, the natural stuff. I donât have a ton of weight to lose
Bananas. I do allow myself to have sweet potato or regular potato on occasion. I can have a couple bites and be fine. I ate a couple peaches and pears when they were in season over several days. I cut them up and ate a little every day. The only fruit I shun is bananas and I loved bananas.
Well, they are the foods that donât hurt my belly. Literally everything else does . Like I said, once I get to maintenance, that will be my indicator⊠only foods that donât hurt my belly. Iâve never had issue with fruit.
