@doriagh Thank! you for your advise and story! it is inspiring to here someone who stuck with something so long, even when it was hard! Sorry about being laid off, but yes stress can really affect our health. @JohnH People think they are having heart attack and dying, will go to hospital to only find out they are having a stress induced panic attach. Stress is powerful. I am in college, sorority, nanny, in several clubs, exercise, have to sleep 6-8 hours, maintain a social life and keep up with family and home friends. Stress is defiantly a factor in my weight gain. Currently doing yoga and meditation and staying away from mindless phone scrolling to help my stress.
Haven't lost weight:(

2.i feel great on keto, but I do crave carbs like an addict in rehab - I suffer from IBS, but not eating sugar helps a lot. Keto (w/o veggies) though makes me supper backed up (from past experiences but was also eating dairy products too)
-Breakfast: 2 fried eggs, 2-3 pieces of bacon
-Lunch: 2-3 handfuls of spinach with my homemade dressing (olive oil, mayo, dash of balsamic, s&p) plus a veto drink (1 cup of unsweetened almond milk, scoop of Perfect keto collagen powder, tsp mct oil)
-Dinner Varies! meat (usually chicken, with ghee, and ghee fried cabbage or asperagus.
or I will eat zucchini noodles, 1/4-1/2 cup rao’s vodka sauce, with ghee and Italian cheeses
-Dessert (sweet tooth) 1 oz of cream cheese or mascarpone with a tsp of jenny’s skinny syrup
not going to lie, 8 or 9 am breakfast, 12 or 1 pm lunch, 6 or 7 pm dinner and dessert, my body has been damaged by carbs, I truly don’t know how to tell if I am satisfied or full or hungry
5. usually tsp of jenny’s skinny syrup and on the occasion I will have a squirt of Christal light in a vodka drink (only drink 1-3 drinks of two nights a week.
6. keto mojo strips ($$$$$)
7. Nope! I always joke that I am always hungry. I do skip meals but I am cranky
I don’t eat fruit, and am learning about lectins but I do love my squash.
Very interested in this diet/experiment, might try in two weeks, my 21st is next week hahaha so will have to wait. can you tell me more or have a link of guidelines I saw OMAD and carnivore and only water. What is TRF?
I love strict diets haha, keto is way easier than weightwatchers to me personally. I also love meat, however does the protein not cause gluconeogenesis?
Have you ever consider food allergies or intolerances might be causing your IBS? Your diet is heavy in dairy. Dairy does cause many people to stall and it is also a common allergen.
Shiritaki noodles. Completely indigestible, in a thin broth with veggies, maybe? Or maybe he’s just here to push CICO on ketonians.
@VirginiaEdie In high school, my gastro suggested this. I stopped eating dairy for 3 months and saw no change. On keto I eat very little lactose. I believe that my stomach problems are hereditary, many of my family members have had colon problems.
I eat a ton of dairy every day, but the thing that makes me gain weight is the artificial sweeteners - all of them, even the supposedly good ones. I had to cut those out completely and now I’m able to stay very slim with a very stable weight. All our bodies are different and we each have to experiment to figure out what our personal body chemistry needs, I think.
Thanks , I needed this post today, been stalled on day 100 and only down 20lbs… but feeling and looking pretty darn good! Scale just has me down! So thank u!!
Okay,
Here is what I see:
You are NURSING your sweet tooth! It is the root of being hungry.
I would like you to give up all sweeteners for 7 days. No alcohol either. No Crystal Light.
No Stevia, Splenda. NOTHING that even tastes sweet (No tomatoes, even). No Fruits.
Just for 7 days. I want you to make your favorite FATTY foods. Bacon, what not.
No CREAM, and No Dairy. (This means no Heavy Whipping Cream). Nothing in your coffee,
except SOME MCT oil.
You can have greens/spinach. But nothing that is sweet. You want to see if after 7 days,
you feel that switch over to not wanting sweets.
Artificial Sweeteners are the Gateway drug to cravings!!!
The best thing I ever did was to give up diet soda and splenda! LIttle did I know how they triggered me!
