OKAY I AM GOING TO TRY TO BE QUICK BUT DETAILED (IF POSSIBLE) BECAUSE HOME GIRL NEEDS YA HELP
-Backstory I am 21, girl, 5.1" and 148 lbs. When I was 19 I was 113lb and very active with lots of energy. Drinking, college, stress, eating out, binging, BLUE BELL, ect got me up to 140 last year. SO I decided to fix that, major calorie restriction (how I lost weight in HS) and heavy cardio and working out… nothing and starving all the time. Begging Dr to fix me (also should add I was struggling with heavy periods, (often only 17 days apart), depression/anxiety, always tired and moody) (but my test say I am fine… more hopelessness)
-I went to Europe for summer and came back 146. Started keto in July, i was diligent, watching macros, eating around 1600 cals a day (something crazy for a girl who struggled with ED in hs) and lost no weight. when I say I was doing all the right things I am not lying I was, I swear.
-Then August, frustrated and pissed (and constipated) I threw in towel and did Atkins 20, which was basically keto but shit food that hurt my stomach so I went back to my ED days and was eating keto, 1000- day, less than 15 TOTAL carbs and was miserable but I lost like 2 pounds. (probs water) but got back to school and upped my cals a lill, like 300ish… I gained freaking weight during the month of September!!!
-I was such big researcher I have read 3 keto books and follow over 20 keto blogs
-now I am 148, 2 pounds shy of 150, and so pissed annoyed, discouraged, and sad. I eat lots of fiber, high quality fats, moderate protein, basically no carbs. My meter always says I am in ketosis (sometimes it will drop, and BG will rise after a hard cardio sesh (which rare haha #toohottorun))
SO HERE IS ME - begging for help, advise, wisdom, heck send a meme;) just something? ----Why am I not losing weight? My body is overweight, BMI is high, doesn’t it want to be healthy? How many cals should I be eating to loose?1600 not enough is 1200, too much?
+dr started me on Lo loestrin fe BC 1 month ago too fix the multiple periods (I 100% that has made no affect on my weight)
ALSO want to add, that I know that 148 is not that high, but for my stature it is unhealthy. not trying to seem like Madison from This is Us. I have dealt with the ED and I can tell you that I freaking adore myself and my body. But I want to be healthy and eat wholesome real food… and I want to fit in my old clothes/ not buy new ones.
