Have our ideas of "sweet" changed this much?

I think something in the chocolate causes me this, unfortunately, because we’ve had three birthdays in three weeks, and we’ve had ice cream cakes two times and one sweet cake, and I don’t have the same effect from these, with all of their sugar. And I’ve been noticing this for a while, such that I started to eat chocolate only if I could eat it before 6pm. Unfortunately, I often don’t get home until after that.

We’re about to leave for vaca, and when I get back, I plan on doing a month of (strict, meat only) carnivore, then using a food journal to see what affects me. For instance, I had eggs, bluecheese, ham, and calamata olives for lunch, and got allergy symptoms. I had the same yesterday, but without the olives, and did not get any symptoms. Did I just not have symptoms yesterday, or did I have them and not notice? I’ll add in one food, such as chocolate, and keep notes.

I’m lazy so I’d just spread the stuff on the chocolate but I have heard of melting the choc and coconut butter together in a saucepan, then freezing it on a shallow pan, then breaking into pieces. Sounds divine.
