Has anyone else felt sore to the touch upon losing weight?
The only time I’ve felt like this is when I was discontinuing prednisone (steroids). Like everything had been in a car accident when I wasn’t looking.
I’m not on any meds, thankfully! I mostly notice it in my thighs.
Haha - I walk for my exercise - I don’t do those intense exercises that leave you sore the next day. And it’s not my muscles that are sore - it’s almost like the fat layer between the skin & the muscles is what’s sore… It’s weird.
Sounds more like a restless leg thing perhaps.
I developed severe restless leg when I was at my fattest; it abated when I dropped the weight. It returns -but far less severe- if I take antihistamine, esp diphenhydramine, but when fat it was every day, irrespective of any factors.
Are you taking any allergy meds?
(just saw above you take no meds but even a one off dose of antihistamine triggers it for me so worth asking).
Doesn’t restless leg make you want to move your legs a lot b/c you’re trying to relieve almost a pins & needles sensation? I’m not really feeling that. It’s literally only tender to the touch so I’m good if I’m not moving, if I’m resting.
RLS symptoms can be pins/needles or just soreness but the desire to move the legs to relieve the sensation is a main symptom, yes.
Nothing else comes readily to mind, localized soreness when palpated, could be related to all sorts. It’d need to be viewed in context with any accompanying symptoms as alone is too vague.
