Happy new year!

How did you spend your evening on New Years Eve?

Got any New Year’s resolutions?

Happy New Year to you as well.

I probably sound like a fuddy-duddy but here goes:

My family (2 grown daughters and my lovely wife) and I ate out at our favorite Chinese restaurant early. Watched some college football and went to bed at my normal early time of 9 pm.

I value sleep and healthy living now more than partying. This was the first new years eve in many years that I did not drink any alcohol at all.

I’ve been thinking about maybe a one-word resolution and have not settled on it yet. But I’m leaning towards healthspan. I hope to become proficient at extended fasting and wish to drop my BP another 10 points and my weight at least 30 lbs this year.

And you?

Stayed home and had lobster tail with some asparagus for dinner. I was asleep in the recliner by nine. Not to much different than most nights except I had more scotch than usual because it is also my birthday.

I don’t do resolutions but I am thinking about reducing alcohol during the week so I can start playing around with IF. Happy new year

Thank you. It’s kind of nice, there is always a party and alway a day off after new years eve. I was thinking about the doing the hair of the dog run today but I am not quite back to my old mileage yet and ten miles may over do it for me. They pour champagne at the halfway mark too (I pass). I will save the $30 fee and run my regular route this morning.
