Halloumi?

Or we get around it by spelling it differently. I certainly wouldn’t nituce since I always have to look up how to spell it

#22

Oh wow! That’s exactly the place I was thinking of. If anyone will have it around here, they will.

Fred Meyer should have this Bread Cheese in the same area as the Kerry Gold butter.

In the south & Midwest it’s Kroger.

#24

Thank you! I will take a look

Good call, that’s good too. Not as much flavor, but still really good, and cheaper. Freddy’s, you must be a Norhwesterner too

Found Halloumi at Fred Meyer. Just fried some up in bacon grease and my family devoured it! So good!

At Freddy’s? Awesome, I’ll have to swing by there. Where I live now is the first time I haven’t lived within a few minutes of one, so I don’t go much anymore.

#28

There is one about 30 mins from me so I don’t go often but I was on a mission to find it. They didn’t have any at Central Market, which was surprising.

I go through at least 2 packs of the stuff in a week. Halloumi fries are to die for!

#30

Whoa. Those look amazing. How did you cook them???

(Lee Jones) #31

…I also do a fancier and crunchier version with a spice mix called za’atar and either crushed pork rinds or a light coating of almond or coconut flour. You gotta try em!

#32

I will! Thank you!
