Grumbles/growl/gurgling or whatever

abdominal sounds. What are they?

grumbles/growl/gurgling or whatever

they sound like the passing of liquids within narrow tubes.

or like air is being squeesed escaping small vicinity when replaced by liquids.

I read that they can be digestive enzymes. If so why we need digestive enzymes when we are hungry?

they can be heard or sensed on the right side, left side, up and down or in the middle.

today I felt the sound on the upper right which is a strange area to squeeze air and force it to be replaced by liquid.

are those sounds indication of anything?

I know I feel better when I hear/sense them and I do not have them when I was eating SAD and even post keto they are more frequent when fasting or hungry than when full

I learned a new word because of your post!

Borborygmi

Has research come up with anything about why they happen? Last time I read about boborygmus, it was still considered a research puzzle.

You can hear mine a mile away. Whether I’ve eaten or not!

If you pay enough attention to the movement of intestinal gas, especially across the top of your abdomen or down your left side … you can pretty much time an oncoming fart.

If you can actually feel the movement of gas or fluid along the top and down the left side, along with slight discomfort or cramps, start timing your trip to the bathroom.

LOL…,I’ve always interpreted them as “past my time to eat”.

Recently learnt that stomach growling isn’t a sign of hunger. The ‘growling’ constantly happens, it’s just louder when there is no food in your digestive tract to muffle the sound. So that’s why it’s more common to hear it on an empty stomach.
