Great interview with Dr Robert Lustig

Yeah, i also remember the respectful debate/banter between he and Dr Eenfeldt, too. They both just agreed to disagree.

I have lots of respect for Dr Lustig. He is able to look at the science, learn and change his mind, as the science reveals other things. This is a sign of a good scientist or doctor.

oh totally, start with a position but if the evidence shows you are wrong or need to modify then do it.

Thanks to Dr Lustig we are all aware now that a calorie is not a calorie and the impact of fructose in particular …

Imagine if he took the final step and advocated LCHF/Keto formally ?

yeah. Good question. I don’t know what would have happened. Would he have been successful with delivering the message? I did remember him saying that he didn’t want to be associated with the low carb crowd, long time ago. Maybe, he would not have been supported by funders and other important people in the research or food policy communities? Maybe because he was not “all in” with the “war” against carbs, that he could get the support for the war against sugar? I dunno.

yes he tried to separate the two but this last talk he is clear, when he states you do not need to eat carbs to live, the message is therefore clear and by mentioning GNG he brings that to the attention of more people.

We mentioned before how thin he now looks, I wonder, is he Keto or LCHF now ?
