Great feeling

Well started keto on Aug 17 2018 and I am now down 55 lbs and have gone from using 6 bottles of insulin to 1.5 and have cut my metformin in half . Working on getting rid of Metformin, that stuff scares me. I don’t post often but read a lot of posts . Thanks for the inspiration. I tell naysayers it’s not a diet it’s a lifestyle change. Thanks

Congratulations!
Sounds like you are doing a great job. That is a huge difference in a short space of time.
Have you noticed any changes in your energy levels?

I stay tired a lot I have had 14 surgeries on my right leg in 9 years and it has taken a lot out of me. I am 62 and have no feeling in my legs from the knees down. But I walk a lot and do a lot of yard work.

Thanks for your post. I joined this forum for my person keto quest but recently I discovered my mother is a diabetic and has been since 2010, she didn’t want to worry us so didn’t tell us!

She has diaformin but I believe the Dr wants to switch her to miaformin after Christmas, why if I may ask are you scared of miaformin (I’m personally scarred of all drugs …)

Thanks.

Metformin has a bad reputation for genital gangrene and dementia. Lawyers are all over the tube suing for it. I also found out that the BP drug I’m on has been recalled for two ingredients that are carcinogens. That drug is losartin.

Wow, that does not sound good. Thanks again for the info.

Looks like there’s a lot of research ahead of me…

Best way to make money is returning patients. Good luck
I hope to be off meds this coming year .

With insulin being as expensive as it is, I would think a T2 diabetic would have ample reason for going Keto, even if there weren’t so many side benefits to it.

I am in North Carolina and Walmart has it for 24.76 per bottle. Cheaper than with my insurance copay.
