Visited my GP for referrals to do bloodwork and CAC. She was pretty good at referring the standard tests but when it came to LDL Particle her comment was, “she didn’t see the point.” The only thing that got her over the line was that I said my dietitian wanted to see the results.
Then I asked for the CAC Score Test and she flat out refused the referral on the basis that she would have to explain to a cardiologist why she was issuing the referral. crickets
Anyone have this experience and what did you do about it?
