I’m feeling a tad confused and hoping for some clarity. I was told on a facebook Keto site that Good D’s mixes were Keto. But after buying them, i double checked the ingridents. Now, technically most of the mixes contain 1 net carb per serving which seems to fit the Keto bill but the ingrident that is stumping me is “Tapioca Flour”. Oddly enough i keep seeing this particular ingrident popping up in everything from Keto crackers to Keto tortillas and now baling mixes and cake mixes.
Thankfully… im allergic to one of the ingridents in the mixes(stupid to have not looked at the ingrident list prior to buying but still…) I ended up giving my mixes away.
Good D's Baking Mixes truly Keto?

The brands of tapioca flour/starch all show 80-90 grams of carbohydrate per 0.1 kg. That’s all carbohydrate, no fibre involved. No sugar, protein, or fat, either.
I guess if the portion size of the finished recipe is small enough, that doesn’t amount to all that much, it is possible that the carbs/serving might work out to something reasonable, but if you plan on eating the whole batch of whatever it is, and you use 25 grams of tapioca flour in the recipe, that’s your entire 20 g/day, right there.
