Going Carnivore for migraines

(Auden) #1

I’m going to try it! For one month. Just eat meat and drink water. Why does that sound so hard??

(TJ Borden) #2

Because to anyone outside this forum… and to a few people on this forum, it sounds CRAZY.

I say go for it!!!

Keep us posted on your progress, I am interested.

There are two (probably more) good podcast to help you on your way. 1. Human Performance Outliers
2. Carnivore Cast
Good Luck

You can do it! And it’s not crazy

This is going to sound weird, but speaking as someone with chronic headaches, you will probably need to listen to this in a quiet environment, because the sound quality is APPALLING and you really have to listen in a VERY concentrated fashion to get through them. It improves slightly as it goes on, but the first 6-7 are especially bad.

(I usually listen to podcasts through high-quality BT headphones while out walking, but that’s basically impossible for the first few of this one.)

I haven’t listened to the other one, but the Carnivore Cast is awesome, and it’s done by @Scottmys from the forum.

(Running from stupidity) #8

I loaded it up last week into Pocketcasts, but haven’t listened to any of it yet.

(Stacy Blanchard) #9

Maybe my ears are bad, but I haven’t really noticed the sound quality being any worse than any other podcast. I’m probably easy to please, just ask my husband.

It does seem to improve after the first couple of months, but even then it’s not great. It sounds as though they’ve got some really savage compression going on somewhere in the chain, combined with some poor quality recording gear.

It’s OK, I’ll take your word for it

Thank you TJ!

I am a decades long sufferer of migs and headaches! We don’t have proper medicine nor the medical community have any clear understanding of the horror of waking up with even a minor ache. (what? Please not today!).
My point? Going carnivore to get any relief is probably a little frightening and you have my support!

(Auden) #13

Thank you! I appreciate your comments and support!

(Auden) #14

I have so much respect for you following the carnivore diet. I am going back to keto. But I am so grateful for the kind comments!

(Auden) #15

Update: I’m back - I’m on day 4. I’m just taking it one meal at a time and keeping lots of delivious meat in the house. I think I just wasn’t ready before.
