Going backwards?

(Deja vu) #1

I have been on Keto since June 13 2016. It has worked very well and I have lost just under 150 LBS at my low point. This past month my stress has really gone up, i went from working 4 1/2 days a week to working 6+ days a week and longer hours every day in addition I am still doing all my volunteer commitments. Yes I feel burned out.

I am still very faithful with following the Keto life, I dont remember the last time I cheated, but in the last 2 weeks I have gained about 20 LBS. I also feel extremely hungry and tired 90% of the time. I started tracking my food with the “my fitness” app (again). It looks pretty good every day in that time about 70-80% fat and under 5% carbs. Total calories are all over the place, my low was about 1100 and my high was 2500.

Is it possible its just stress? I do feel pretty stress out and in need of a break.

p.s. im a 6foot 3inch tall male I was as 199 at my low point and I am about 230 now and climbing. My high point (when I started keto) I was just under 350LBS. I dont want to go back!

I started at 300, hit 209 a year ago and now hovering 225. No cheats ever. KCKO is my mantra
I figure I’m still overeating between fasts. I fast 2-3 days at time regularly - like 4x month - and no loose skin and I feel fabulous. However, stuck at 225. Oh well

Stress does a number on your insulin sensitivity. Whether it’s 100% responsible for the additional pounds is hard to say, but it seems to me that’s where you should start (easier said than done, I know…).
