I am new to Keto. I’ve been doing good for a little over a week. I skipped carbs completely for about 3 days and my body was not happy as I got migraines and shaky feeling. But by Day 4 I felt great. Not really any cravings or hunger for that matter but I still made sure to eat as I needed to fuel my body.
However, I have been checking my blood glucose and it was ranging from 65-83 mg consistently. But today a friend recommended a drink that was supposedly only 6g carbs and did include two pumps of sugar free flavor. I ordered said drink checked my levels before starting they were at 73. I maybe had half of the drink. I sat down at computer and worked for a little over an hour and checked my glucose again because I was curious. It spiked to 113!!! What happened I know this isn’t my ketone measurement but did this just kick me out of my state and what do I do to bring it back down? Help?

Lesson learned and no harm done. Can’t trust anything you didn’t make yourself. Sounds like you didn’t get 2 pumps of the sugar free flavor. I have had them mess up at Sonic a few times and just don’t mess around anymore and order plain diet stuff.

6g is a lot for a drink but that really not high at all. Lesson learned. 113 isn’t kicking you out of ketosis. Don’t worry about it.

I agree but I use to love the matcha green teas and this was suppose to be a blended version of that. Sad it didn’t work out I could feel the difference though where as before I could not so that is a plus! Thank you for the response
