Glucose / Ketones morning

(alex) #1

Hi!

This morning I had a reading of 92 in glucose and 4.9 in ketones… WTF? Highest I have ever had.

I ate a lot of food after my gym last night could be that? Also about 10-12 hours fasted when I checked.

Should I worry or just carry on? I feel amazing.

If 92 mg/dL is highest you’ve ever seen, you are normal…better than normal.

Highest BG is in the morning has been 106… I was more thinking of the ketones this morning, 4.9.

Im mainly following my BG… Its never under 90 but never over 106 doesn’t matter what I do. Food, exercise.

If you are feeling good, then don’t worry about the numbers. It sounds as though you are on the right track.

Thank you both!

Let’s keep going with what I do.

Whole body has transformed, I’m very happy about that.

How are you measuring ketones? Ketones vary muchly during the day, so before you get too excited measure again every couple of hours for a full day to observe the variability. If you’re donating blood each time, consider it an experiment ‘for science’.

I have a blood ketone meter.

Ate a big big meal salmon, cheese, utter, onions, red pepper, broccoli, spinach and 99% chocolate as a dessert about an hour ago. Checked BG and Ketones.

106 BG and 2.5 Ketones.
