I’m almost 4 weeks into my Keto journey and I think I’m ready to start experimenting with IF. I’m going to begin with a 16:8 as it seems the easiest to hit.
I do have a few concerns though.
- my schedule varies a lot. I have one early day a week where I’m up at 4am getting ready and one late day where I’m not into work until 11am.
Will it throw things off if my 8 hour window changes from day to day, or is the most important thing to contain the eating window to 8 hours? - what is okay to consume while fasting? I’m confused from things I’ve read if BPC is part of food consumption window or okay when fasting.
Also, I’ve started drinking a zip fizz to help keep my electrolytes in balance and counter dizziness I’ve been experiencing due to low blood pressure. It contains 2 carbs. Would this be permissible during fasting periods? - you still consume the same amount of calories during IF, right? Just in a smaller window of time. Or are you also reducing caloric intake as well?
