I am just a newbie too.
Good on you for picking up the reins and remounting the horse
Dont be hard on yourself, though.
Saying you ‘failed’ is negative talk and it will colour your perceptions of your efforts.

Say Ï had a setback, but I have been able to refocus"
Much more positive and affirming, and will make you feel better about yourself.

This journey can be influenced so much by how we feel about ourselves, and goodness knows there are enough critics out there already without adding your own sweet self to the mix
Go for it!!
xx

Diana,
Remember the basics. 20 grams of carbs net or total your choice. Fat to satiety, moderate protein. Set yourself up to succeed. Have plenty of fatty snacks to answer carb cravings for the short term. Still hungry after dinner? Eat more fat. And go easy on yourself. Each experience is a learning one.
Best wishes.

For continuing motivation, I like listening/watching YouTube videos and podcasts. There are many of them that are inspiring. But also some quacks/opportunists too. So look around there, and you’ll find good channels to subscribe to. Jump in and start listening/watching. (and if you don’t like or aren’t interested in a particular video, start another.).

There is more than one path to success. Maybe try fasting. Sometimes restraining from all food is easier than restricting some foods. Alternate day fasting for example, may work just as well for you, without the need for strict food compliance. At the very least, it will improve your self control over food.
