Can’t wait to hear this one

I can’t wait to record it. I am in my element - I get to chat to fascinating people and grill them! It’s such fun

I’ve been thinking more and more about moving that way. I’ve been finding myself eating less and less vegetables anyway. I know this question may seem dumb (but my wife says I excel at those kinds of questions), but does zero carb still allow for the incidental carbs in eggs and dairy, or does it cut all those out to where it’s literally just meat? With the exception of a few macadamia nuts a couple times a week, I’m pretty much only eating animal based products, which I also love pointing out to my vegan friends. I figure I’m balancing them out.

No question is dumb  Added to list.

Did you intentionally pun the grilling as an apt metaphor for ZC peeps @Daisy!

Oh I have questions…I’ve done ZC and despite following the advice of all the “vets” in carnivorous forums, I still struggle. Here are some things I’d love her opinion about (though I will finally get to meet her at low carb Breck in March!): There are a lot of people who transition to ZC from keto and they experience weight gain. Why do you think this happens? Even if they are not coming from a restrictive eating background. Why do the serious ZC advocates recommend no salt ? They also recommend eliminating coffee as they say it weakens the adrenals. What are her thoughts on this? What does she think about electrolytes? What are the biggest differences between ZC and keto (as far as why they differ so much in relation to these issues, for example why you would need electrolytes on keto but not ZC). How is it possible that ZC promotes autophagy (as is the claim of many vets) yet protein is said to activate mTOR, thus shutting down that process. What does she think about certain supplements or medications that supposedly decrease mTOR (Metformin, green tea, resveratrol, turmeric…yes I know they are plant based but there’s a lot of research claiming they suppress mTOR) and utilizing these in the context of a higher protein diet to mitigate the possible deleterious effects of protein on autophagy? Alrighty I’ll shut up now :joy::joy:
