Frustrating Glucose/Ketone levels

fasting
high-glucose

Just want to get some insight from people here.

I’ve been fasting today (its not all that long yet, only about 15hrs. However, my readings are so much higher than they should be, and I’m worried that maybe I had too much protein yesterday and now its going to take me even longer to get to the benefits of autophagy.

Here’s what my macros looked like for the last two days (this was spread over 2 meals each day).

This is my fasting log so far:

I’m really bugged by the last entry. I rarely see my glucose that high ( I don’t have a CGM, so I don’t have a good way to compare, except by looking at my previous logs when I did not feast before hand).

You probably already know this but steroids can raise glucose; are you on any as part of your cancer treatment?

I’m not.
It’s just the past day that my numbers have been off. Before lunch yesterday my glucose was 83, ketones 0.6

Ya I figured you probably already knew this/had it covered but it was the first thing came to mind when I read :slightly_smiling_face:

Can’t exercise raise BG levels? Or is it the opposite? But maybe “shopping” simulates exercise?

I checked earlier, and it was finally down to 86. Ketones were still low though @ 0.3

Could be, and it’s been hot out…

Hi, stress increases blood sugar and cortisol which tends to decrease ketones. Maybe shopping is very stressful for you?

Not really…m
