Gotcha… Next month will be handled VERY differently…
Frustrated & confused
I was wondering how IR I am so I had labs run. After 8 months keto I was surprised to find out that my body was probably a lot sicker than I realized. My HOMA-IR after 9 months Keto is 1.8. I’m working on getting it lower.
My first long term fast was 4 days. I lost 6lb and gained 11 lb that next week and then it took over 2 months to get back to that lower weight. 107 is not a terribly high number, your body flushed some glucose, could have been the dawn effect. I wouldn’t worry about it.
I just listened to that episode yesterday and the only reason Megan Ramos gave was that she wouldn’t advise it because it would give some people stomach issues. i. e. Flatulence
Okay, well I did say I’d have to listen again to remember why eggs may be an issue.
Hang in there…I know it can be confusing. But, by testing different things we learn about our bodies.
I got some really good advice from @amber on which foods to break my fast. She suggested first sip on home made beef bone broth, and eat beef. So, what I did this last fast is was sip on a cup of broth and I let about an hour pass, and then I ate some beef. I have to admit, I felt better doing it this way than the other times I broke my fast. Other times, I would get more tummy issues. According to amber, people typically have less issues with beef (than for example eggs or cheese). So, that’s why I decided to try it. I found it works for me. Next time I do a fast, I will repeat the beef broth and beef meat program.
This is what I discovered works for me. I really hope you discover what works for you.
