From the Laugh Out Loud Department - Scientists Say

I have heard almost everything blamed for getting fat. Now some “THEY” are saying to remove your shoes, strip out carpet, and eat these foods, because of Obesogens?

The end of the article pretty much negates the article:

Blockquote “There is no evidence given in this abstract that indicates that adopting any of these recommendations will actually reduce obesity.”
Will the day EVER come when the Headline will shout “SUGAR AND CARBS CAUSE OBESITY” and “OH BY THE WAY ALL OF OUR FOOD AND PHARMA ADVERTISERS QUIT, BUT WE DON’T CARE BECAUSE WE LOVE OUR READERS

Ha, this statement is so perfect. Money is the driver. Imagine buying only locally grown/raised meats, veggies, fruits (in season), or better yet; raise, hunt, grow/gather your own foods. Food manufacturers would certainly go out of business. Pharma’s financial support would be hugely reduced because the entire population would be MUCH healthier.

Here’s my n=1 on this. For the past 8 years I have lived in a house with no carpets and my wife insists we take our shoes off at the door.

Until 6 months ago both my wife and I were clinically obese. 9 months ago I went keto, and I became not obese 6 months ago. My wife continues to eats SAD (ie 50% crap, and I cook her the other half!), and she remains obese.

This result suggests that this study is the same as the first half of my wife’s diet!
Cheers
Alec
