Freestyle metre giving weird BG readings

Hey Kids,
My Freestyle Optium BG metre is showing big variances in BG levels when tested a few times in a row, for example;
this morning it was 4.8, which is high for me, tried again, 5.2, then, 7.0 . Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this with metres?

Yes, first try washing your hands. Yesterday day I was 13 at lunch, washed my hands and was in the fives.
The meters also have an error margin, they tend to be more accurate when close to normal range. The other thing you can try is to get some control solution, then you’ll know for sure.

OMG so sorry for not replying to your answer! I’ve just got my password up and running again.
Thanks so much for your help. I Did as you suggested and git a 3.7 first and the next a 5.2…weird but no biggy really

Thanks CANKETO, great advice , will try a new batch , or maybe a new meter
