I have been on keto intermittent fasting for a few months. I dropped 30 lbs from 175 to 145. I’m 5’11. My daughter told me this morning that I look frail & need to gain weight. This is not the first time I have wondered that. I do deadlifts, squats, overhead press, dips, pull-ups, push-ups. How can I gain wt w/o more carbs?

Your daughter could be saying that simply because she is not used to seeing you looking that way. My doctor told me that as the average person weighs so much more than what they used to that people’s idea of normal is now a bit out of whack.
I have the same problem and now that my doctor has confirmed she is very happy with my weight and fitness level, I ignore all those who suggest I may not look good in their eyes, especially if they don’t have a medical degree!

Responding to diet query. Staples are Chicken sausage for protein. (36 gms to 50.) & Avocado for . Almonds. Heavy Whipping cream. Have recently quit counting fat. Try to keep protein under 70 gms & carbs under 15.
Thanks Linda. People do carry around a lot of fat. I feel great. & I agree with everything you said. But I don’t want to look frail.
