Found out what caused high triglycerides (inulin)

(Bob M) #1

I had an “official” test for my doctor and got high triglycerides, 150. The highest – by far – I’d ever seen. I couldn’t figure out why.

I was testing inulin at the time, which is a prebiotic fiber and supposedly is helpful. I started testing it because Nick Norwitz had a video/substack on it. I had tested it in the past and couldn’t find a benefit, but I thought I’d test it again.

The problem:

LCI (long chain inulin) causes liver problems for some, probably including me.

I also found this study by Nick Norwitz.

Never thought that a prebiotic could cause liver injury.

I need to get back to take another test.
