Forgot to eat again

I’m all about the non scale victories.

Today, I’ve been busy figuring out details for an upcoming move. I just looked at the clock, it’s 2pm. All I’ve had today is some coffee with heavy cream. I suddenly had a rush of good feelings about Keto and said to myself, “I love this WOE!”

I’ve been on Keto for almost two years now. Within the last 6 months, I decided I needed to listen to my body more with regards to when I’m actually hungry. Most of the time, I’m not hungry, just bored and want to work on my new hobby (cooking). And thankful for Keto for that new hobby too!

I am always surprised when that happens to me.

Coffee with heavy cream has become my go to for breakfast and I agree, it tides me over well past lunch most days!! Before keto, I was alway watching the clock waiting until it was time to eat again. I love the freedom!!

I love the freedom too! If I’m really into some work I’m doing, I can keep working and not let hunger distract me.

The freedom from the “4 hour hunger monster” that we leave behind when getting fat adapted is a wonderful thing to experience! I am fairly often pleasantly surprised when meal time comes and meal time goes and I’m just fine without eating.

I don’t generally go beyond 24 hours without eating but 24 hours is a total non-event, really.

Last night was an event like that for me. Went to a Christmas party. I could tell that there really was not going to be anything much there I would want to eat so I didn’t eat at all. (I had a little water.) Since I happened to be the piano player, I was pretty much occupied from start to finish… and it’s hard to eat anything while playing the piano, LOL! Seriously, though, the hunger monster was totally absent for me, just as expected, even with lots of people eating around me.

It’s one of the “pros” of the keto way of eating that’s been a side effect that I didn’t exactly expect but thoroughly enjoy.
