I lose taste for foods all the time,any reason why? Lost taste for certain nuts, veggies,keto cheese crackers,some keto bars,home made peanut.
Food tastes
When you say you “lose taste” do you mean:
A) you don’t like them any more
B) you literally can’t taste them (they have zero taste)
If you mean you don’t like them after a while, I do this all of the time. For me, when I take away all of the processed foods that have added artificial flavors and dopamine blasters then eating just becomes a thing that is enjoyable because it’s feeding a body and not entertainment. For example, I went bonkers for bacon for months, and then I couldn’t stand it. And sometimes I salivate that the prospect of broccoli. I personally think eating one thing too much can make us sick of them. Is this possibly what’s happening? Maybe your tastes are evolving.
I think this is pretty common. I do it for sure; and my kids always did, I’d get annoyed because I’d buy a lot of something on sale, that they’d gone crazy over, and they’d get over it before it was finished.
Recent example for me was sausage; I was all into it (Italian sausage) for months, now the idea of it is not appealing. Oddly I’m really into bologna now
Lose taste I mean I don’t have desire to eat it anymore. I was never this bad. Weird to me.
I have not eaten processed sugars since February and I have no desire to eat any. I used to be a major Candy maniac, ice cream maniac, sugar fiend pre-Keto.
I cut out all sugar substitutes as well in June. as they were causing a lot of trouble for me.
I strongly dislike many things that are even allowed on Keto that I cannot stand the taste of now; some of these things are Ketchup (I bought the sugar free one, it tastes so gross to me now), I loved sour cream pre-Keto, I don’t like it now.
I love cabbage cooked in butter or EVOO, and cauliflower, bok choy, cooked the same. Pre-Keto I was not a big fan of these, but now they are my go to vegetables.
For sure, my taste buds have changed dramatically on Keto.
