Focus on what you are gaining NOT on what you think you are losing

When people start keto they often focus on what they are “losing” instead of what they will gain. This is the same attitude that many have in other areas of their lives when they are trying to make corrections or improvements to it. “Gains” are far more important than the past so retrain yourself to focus on them and the future instead of what you may give up and the past…you are worth your goals and dreams! @Rgbigun What a wonderful message! You are so right. I do not miss the garbage I used to eat, and the few times I’ve thought, “yeah, I really want to eat this”, I’ve regretted it.

I’m actually shocked how easy it was to give up pizza, donuts, sodas, popcorn, pasta, bread, cereal, etc. I thought I enjoyed those foods, but now I KNOW I really enjoy the food I eat. Plus, I know it’s good for me!

God bless you, Brother, and thank you for sharing these encouraging, hopeful words with us!

Thank you! Have not been on here for a few days so sorry for the late response!

Agree wholeheartedly with your message! Gaining energy, mental clarity, a new wardrobe in smaller sizes, a very satisfactory way of eating, the ability to walk and climb stairs without the pain that I used to have.
