First time eating beef (and weight lost!)

So today I ate beef for the first time in 25 years :open_mouth:
and — it was delicious! I feel very odd saying that, but it was good. It was a beefburger and it was a really interesting experience.

I also stepped on the scales today, which I never do, and I’m below 10 stone (63 kg / 140 lbs) - I’m now 9 stone 12. (138 lbs). I can’t believe it. I’ve been at 10 stone for about as many years, and I haven’t seen the 9 on the scale for a while. I really wasn’t truly aiming for weight loss. I just can’t believe it.

I also tracked a bit more diligently today and almost went over carbs thanks to some yogurt. I am going to go more easy on the dairy soon, but it’s useful right now as I’m just starting. Enjoying big leafy salads though. Still no major cravings for sweet stuff. So far, so good!

I went 30 years without eating any meat & I’m almost embarrassed to admit how easily I adapted - took to it like a duck to l’orange :blush:

Brian - I have heard bacon is good. I’ve always liked the smell! But I also had pet pigs so that might be a challenge!

We have pet chickens and I would never be able to eat one of them, but I have no trouble eating chicken that is not a pet. :yum:
