I hiked five miles this morning, fasted. I am not a regular exerciser, but I do like to exercise when I can. I have never attempted to work out while fasted, so I thought I would give it a try.
Historically, as a carb burner, I would risk hypoglycemia every time I worked out. This meant I would have to eat before and after working out to keep my blood sugar up.
I felt great the whole time, energetic, and only a little hungry. The biggest thing I noticed though was that I have been full of energy since I got home! I’ve been cleaning and decluttering, and I even cleaned out the junk drawer.
