Finally broke my nearly 2 year long plateau

#1

For the past two years I haven’t gotten lower than 293.8, then I’d either stall or go back up sometimes to 307-309lbs.

Although I’ve been within the same range, since I got back into my gym routine, my body composition improved. I have a pretty muscular build at 26 years old, 6’1 and a lot of people ask If I compete in powerlifting or if I play football for college (lol).

The other day I woke up at 292.8, today I was at 293.6 and that was after a midnight snack of 2.5oz of almonds,2 ounces of cheese, and a 16.9oz bottle of water (I’m trying to stop the late snacking )

I decided to buckle down with strict keto and my gym routine on March 2nd when I was around 300lbs, so within 18 days I’ve already made more weight progress than I have the past 2 years.

Things I did:

-Simplified my diet and stuck to 20 net carbs or less. I pretty much eat a combination of Steak, ground beef/turkey/chicken, shredded cheese, almonds, guacamole cups (120 calories), mushrooms, protein powder, and 1 net carb protein water. Basically I’ve been trying a mixture of Carnivore and Keto. I eat natural foods, nothing processed. No “keto” protein bars, keto cheesecake, etc. If it isn’t mostly naturally occuring on earth, then I avoid it.

-Almost no vegetables

-Implemented 15 minute hiit session on the stationary bike at the gym (on top of my regular 5-6 day lifting routine)

This morning I was buckling up my pants and I’m now on first hole out of 7. Last year I believe I was around the max hole, two weeks ago I was on the 2nd hole. I’m hoping by Saturday this week I might break into the 280’s and soon I’ll need a new belt

I’m the type of person who would always cheat around 2-2.5 weeks then fall off somehow, but this isn’t happening this time around. Once I’m back in the 280’s (haven’t been in the 280’s since july 2017) I’m not looking back. The more weight/inches I lose, the more motivated and strict I get :smiling_imp:

Congrats on breaking the stall.

Yeah snacking late at night or really even eating after 6 can really kill the weight loss
