I am new here and excited to be on the keto diet with my boyfriend. I am aiming to lose 20 pounds. We are in our third week where I am 7-8 pounds and he is down 13. My concern is I show I am in moderate to high levels of ketones in my urine. Once I tested in optimal range. I read about Ketoacidosis… my boyfriend stays in optimal level range. Should I be worried? I read that strips aren’t as accurate.
I am never been diabetic and etc, maybe I need to increase my water intake? Should I up my carbs from 20-50 grams a day? Also, could it be the glass of wine or dry martini I have ever so often? Thanks and sorry to bother with the questions.
