(Pri ) #1
  1. Does eating too less is bad for metabolism in long run. I don’t feel hungry sometimes I eat one meal. 600-700 calories.
  2. Does fasting for longer periods slow down metabolism?
  3. How many people has actually reached their target weight?
  4. I was 215 with my 2 pregnancies. 165 now want to reach 120 is that reachable or I am aiming for impossible.
Any advice will help. Need motivation

Thanks in advance

Fasting doesn’t slow down your metabolism. Not eating enough like 600-700 calories a day will slow down your metabolism. It is better to eat a normal days calorie count on days you are eating and on fasting days don’t eat that way it won’t mess up your metabolism.

How much should I eat calories wise? It is such a project to eat enough.

There are places online that will generate the correct calorie count based on a number of different factors that you put into the calorie calculator. After inputting all of the data it will spit out an appropriate number.

When you’re hungry, eat. When you stop being hungry, stop eating. Don’t eat again until you’re hungry again. Ignore the clock. As long as you keep your carbohydrate under 20 g/day, you will be fine.

If you are fasting a lot and if your eating signals are mixed up you may not be able to count on those cues. I struggled with this a lot and still do. For me it was not enough to just say eat when you are hungry because I got to the point where I was showing signs of a severely slowed down metabolism. It takes a while to get the signals working correctly Also meghan Ramos suggests to eat more if you are going to fast the next day as it gets the metabolism going at a higher rate.

Age? Height?

not eating enough will not slow down your metabolism if you have body fat.

your body will continue to have the same energy expenditure even if you eat 800 calories only. the balance will come from your body fat.

but when you lose weight you will have less energy expenditure just like a loaded truck will consume more gas than when you unload it. which is not bad thing.

If you’re fat-adapted then this is generally true.
