I will be spending the week in Vegas next week for work and of course my favorite thing to do while on a trip is EAT! Any suggestions, tips, etc. on the best places to go and what to order?!

Thanks in advance!

On or off strip? (I live here.)

We are staying off the strip at Rio. I’ve never stayed there and do not know anyone who has, and I really don’t know about the location. Any tips?!

You must do the zip line at the Rio!!! It goes from one tower to another and back.

There are so many amazing restaurants in Vegas - steakhouses galore! Best steak tartare: craftsteak at MGM (very pricey). Best burgers: Holsteins at cosmo, great Mexican: Javier’s at Aria.

Also Amazon Prime Now will deliver in Vegas within 2hrs… so anything you may want to keep in the hotel you can just have delivered. I had them bring a big pack of water, HWC, and some perrier but they had a lot of keto stuff to choose from.

We stayed at the Rio in August to attend a school ceremony for my daughter. I wasn’t impressed with their food choices and they were way overpriced, even for chains like Starbucks and the Hash House A Go Go which have better pricing outside the Rio. Get out of there to eat! Rooms at the Rio do have fridges and microwaves.

If you look up “Keto Las Vegas” you’ll find a lot. For our “buffet experience” we went to the Cosmopolitan. Not cheap, but they have stuff like bone marrow (my personal favorite) and some gluten free, sugar free desserts if you want to indulge. There’s a lot of carbage, too, so choose wisely! It was really nice though, I felt it was worth the price. We ate at the Henderson branch of the Egg and I restaurant–good egg dishes–many are keto or easily modified.

Vegas has almost any type of food you can imagine, so just google away and you’ll find something you like.

If you get out of the casinos, restaurants are non-smoking. But inside the casinos you can’t get away from the smoke, so if that bothers you it’s something to consider (the Cosmopolitan buffet was not smoky, however).

I haven’t been to Vegas since going Keto, but I always went just to eat. Can’t wait to try the buffet at Caesar’s Palace and some of the new burger places (Shake Shack and Bobby’s Burger Palace). I have always wanted to eat at Craftsteak (love Tom Colicchio (sp)) and one of the best breakfast places is on Charleston (can’t remember the name). We would always get the three egg omelet and it would hold use for most of the day.

Have fun, no matter where you decide to eat!
