Fat Thermostat is Stuck! Help!

(Amberly Chirolla) #1

For the last year, I’ve been stuck in the 270s. My weight has gone a bit above into the 280s at times, but always settles about 271. There have been three or four times in the last year that using keto and extended fasting, I’ve gotten into the 250s, but then something happens and I sabotage myself, stop keto, and my weight pops back up. It’s infuriating. I really feel that it’s not just emotional, but also biological. I’m at a loss as to how to change it. Any suggestions?

It might sound extreme but you could try going zero carb, aka eating only animal foods. This has helped me tremendously with satiety and cravings. Just a thought

Thank you! Maybe that would help with not only cravings, but also just limiting choices. Thank you!

You’re welcome, I have found this to be the most satisfying way to control cravings

There’s no doubt that you have metabolic derangement. The most efficient way of fixing it is fasting. Eating a HFLC also works. But you already know this, since you’ve used these tools to lose weight before. Since you admittedly are sabotaging your efforts, I most humblely suggest that the biggest change that needs to occur is in your head, not your diet.
